PRE-AWARD STAGE
1. Understanding client and the requirement

Upon receipt of an enquiry, Steelion representative meets the clients to understand more about the requirement and to explain to client more about Steelion's modus operandi. This discussion focuses on project details such as scope of works, location and dimensions of the site, special challenges, client's schedule etc. This initial discussion helps steelion in providing a practical and valid techno commercial proposal.

2. Techno commercial proposal from Steelion

Based on all the information and data provided to Steelion by the client, Steelion prepares a techno commercial proposal. The assumptions and special conditions insisted by the client are all mentioned in this proposal with the intent of ensuring that Steelion is in the same platform as the client.

3. Acceptance of the proposal and issue of work order

The client studies and deliberates on the techno commercial proposal made by Steelion. Post discussion on various fronts, the work order is expected to be issued to Steelion once the proposal is formally accepted by the client. Following this, Steelion enters into a formal agreement with the client.

POST AWARD STAGE

1.

The project gets officially kick started in Steelion's premises the day after the agreement is signed and other contractual obligations are met by the client. The project gets officially handed over to the project operations from the marketing team. Based on the scope of works, either the design work commences in the design wing or fabrication commences in the factory based on the design provided by the client.

2.

The fabrication starts in the factory once the design is signed off by the client and all necessary shop drawings are made available at the factory. The first step of procurement of raw materials for fabrication is only done once it is ensured that the signed off shop drawings are vetted and cleared by the operations wing.

3.

If civil works are part of the scope, the projects wing commences the works at site post meeting all statutory compliances and clearance from the operations wing. The civil works are planned in such a way that the structure is ready to receive the steel members by the time fabrication is completed at the factory and is transported to the site. All necessary coordination is done by the projects wing. The project will be headed by a project manager or senior project manager who will report to the operations head.

4.

All methods statements prepared by the projects wing specifically for the project are vetted by the design team. This is part of the standard operating protocol. The project schedule prepared by the projects wing is signed off by the operations wing post which the same gets submitted to the client.

5.

All other works which are to be simultaneously taken up based on the project scope are taken up as per the schedule. The scope of all project related procurement is done centrally by the operations wing.

6.

Reports are generated periodically and shared with the client thereby ensuring that the client is well informed of the progress.

7.

Upon completion of entire scope, a close out report is generated by Steelion which gets submitted to the client.
