Instructions

The do's and don'ts for storage, handling & installation should be strictly adhered to avail the warranty as prescribed by the manufacturer.

Handling and Storage-Dos



Always keep the material indoor and avoid access to open areas

If sheets exposed to open areas, then make sure to secure them using waterproof covers.

If the stocked material is not intended for urgent use, then stack them neatly and keep them off the ground with al least a 30 cm gap.

Make sure to maintain at least a minimum 50 angle slope (1:10) so that water drains properly avoid instances of causing water pond formations.

Conduct frequent inspections on the storage site to make sure that moisture has not penetrated the storage and affected the stock.

If the stacked or bundled product is wet, then separate it immediately and wipe using a clean cloth to dry thoroughly.

The roof sheet should be handled with precision to avoid any damages to the product.

Use accessories like hand gloves and closed shoes while lifting the sheets to ensure there is no harm caused to your body.

Handling and Storage-Dont's



Heavy materials should not be placed on the sheets as they may cause damages to the product.

The sheets should not be vertically mounted without proper support.

Metal chains should not be used to lift the sheets.

The sheets should not be stored in areas that witness footfall.

Conduct frequent inspections on the storage site to make sure that moisture has not penetrated the storage and affected the stock.

The sheets should not be placed in direct contact with soil.

Don’t let the surface of the sheet to be wet.Never drag the sheets over any surfaces.Always use tools while relocating the sheets.

Installation - Dos

Distribute your weight evenly across both the feet. Avoid concentrating excess weight on either of the feet or boots.

Structures like tubes, truss, angles, and channels (except Alu Zinc coated supporting structures) should be painted before the installation of the sheets.

Always mark and cut the sheets on the ground before installation to avoid damage to the sheets as well as to avoid any instances of injuries due to falling down particles.

Components like rubber washers and self-drilling screws should only be made out of materials that are compatible with the roofing, walling, and accessory material.

Particles like iron fines from drilling and usage of like saw cut chips and parts like fasteners can cause rust and stain in the long term.

Leaving debris on the sheets as an aftermath of the installation work might damage the sheets. Make sure to clean the piling swarfs after installation.

Bare and pre-painted Galvalume and Pre-painted Galvanized products are not recommended to come in direct contact with a cement foundation. The lime contained in the cement can cause accelerated corrosion to the product.

Follow proper procedures while installing fasteners.

Use clean water or mild detergent to clean the roof. Use a soft cloth, bristle brush, mop or soft nylon to clean the surface to avoid stains and rusts.

Installation - Dont's

Never step foot on the single rib, sheet, end laps gutter and skylight sheets Don’t conduct any bird feeding activities on the sheets as bird faeces can damage the colour and visual appeals of the sheet.

Don’t allow any sort of debris on the sheets.

Don’t allow the sheets to come in contact with cement.

Don’t install the sheets during the time of rains as the surface can be wet and slippery.

Don’t allow the dirt to accumulate on the surface of the sheets.

Avoid the usage of any kinds of stainless steel screws, J hook and carbon washer as they can cause damage to the sheets.

Don’t place the groove portion on the outer side as improper contacts can make the sheets vulnerable to water leakages.

Avoid usage of abrasive or solvent type cleaners, wire brushes, steel, wool, sponge sources while cleaning the sheets as they may soften the paint film.

Avoid any kind of instances that leaves metal filing on the sheets as they can cause rust and damage the sheet.
